I grew up in a musically vibrant home in Norway, where the encouragement of creativity and artistic exploration shaped my upbringing. Dance and various forms of art became my sanctuary, guiding me towards a deep passion for the arts. But it wasn't just about the performances; it was about the deep connection they sparked within me, igniting a journey of self-discovery. As I entered my late teens, I felt a shift in my relationship with dance. It became less about the external aesthetics and outcomes, and more about the internal odyssey of self-expression.
Seeking a deeper exploration of this path, I embarked on a transformative journey to Argentina, where I spent a year dancing alone on rooftops, hidden from the world's gaze yet immersed in a realm of inner magic and discovery.
It wasn't just about dance; it was about the holistic experience. During this time, I dived into yoga, breathwork, and somatic practices, each breath and movement deepening my understanding of mind-body connection. It marked the beginning of a profoundly important phase, shaping the very core of my being.
Now, more than a decade later, I have a bachelor's degree in dance pedagogy from Stockholm University of the Arts and a certification as a yoga teacher from Green Yoga India. Additionally, I am certified in the evidence-based method "Dance for health" and the transformative method “Shake the dust”. I remain dedicated to consistently enhancing my skills and knowledge through ongoing courses and committed personal practice.
For the past 15 years, teaching dance and movement has been central to my journey, working with people of all ages. Although I'm primarily based in Stockholm, I've also worked extensively in Norway over the years. Additionally, I've been involved with the cultural exchange program "Art from Heart to Heart" between Norway and Tanzania, organizing enlightening journeys and experiences for youths, helping them gain new perspectives.
Since 2018, I've been deeply committed to "Dance for health," a method scientifically proven to improve mental well-being through dance. I've been implementing this method and working consistently with individuals for extended periods, which has been incredibly rewarding. Through this work, I've connected with over 100 girls and women, witnessing firsthand the positive impact of dance and community on their lives.
For many years, I have had the privilege of collaborating with amazing creatives across Scandinavia. Together, we have organized numerous workshops, retreats, and events centered around the magic of movement and dance. I love creating and hosting alongside inspiring teachers and creatives, and I am always open to new meaningful collaborations that can foster even more creativity and connection.
